I have had a lot of trouble finding resources and materials for the Korean war, but we reviewed what we knew about Korea, completed some map work and discussed communism.

The boys completed the On-Line Junior Secret Service Manual and received a Junior Secret Service Badge and Certificate. 
We also learned about the culture of the fifties.

I really wanted to have a 50's Sock Hop like at Love Paper Paint, but we weren't able to this time. 
We settled for having Root Beer Floats and listening to Elvis.

  2. Love the sock hop theme! Pres. Eisenhower was born up the highway from where we live. I've taken the girls to see his birthplace. I believe I did a post back in October of 2010 if you want to see pics :)

  3. My brother had a sock hop. I agree there's not a lot for Korean War, I think the lesson I made is the only thing that's even remotely out there, aside from a few posts on the history channel blog. Took me almost an hour to find that.
