The Pre-Raphaelites:Edward Burne-Jones' The Council Chamber

The Council Chamber is the second in the Briar Rose series. Briar Rose is an earlier version of Sleeping Beauty. I find that it is easier for students to notice details in a painting if you ask them to sketch the painting -not to copy perfectly, for it is unfair to both the artist and the student to assume they can copy the painting perfectly. It is to have them see all of the painting's details and represent them in the sketch.
