Nature Study Detective Work
When we went for a nature walk in the backyard, we discovered lots of sawdust and bits of wood under the Norway Maple. 
Then we noticed that the area where a limb had broken off in a wind storm had been visited by someone. 
Fourth Student said that he had noticed a woodpecker there yesterday. 
We looked until we found a perfectly round hole near the top of the tree. A woodpecker's home?
