With just one package of Skittles...
we practiced estimating and confirming by counting...
and place value...
and sorting...
and comparing (how much more or less does each row of the rainbow take?)...
and graphing...
and division...
and fractions
(out of the total how many are each color? Write that as a fraction. Can you simplify the fraction?)...
and addition (any two colors, or three colors)...
and subtraction (the total minus any color)...
and multiplication (just as we did with beans.)
That looks like fun! My children love Skittles. I pinned this.
ReplyDeleteI'm firmly of hte belief that any math with candy is the best type of math.
