Snapshot Summary, The August Break: August 8-14

August 8-14
We completed many projects this week in preparation for our Camp Bergenholtz...
We made a watermelon picnic blanket/tablecloth for our summer travel picnics.
We made outdoor lanterns that can also serve as a place to store treasures found on our travels such as shells and stones.
We made no-sew T-shirt bags to hold our journals and other things for the trip.

We have been enjoying our August summer break.
The boys enjoyed Pirate Weekend in Rock Hall, Maryland.
The boys have enjoyed time at the beach...
even taking advantage of the fact they can go there whenever they like, like at sunset.
Oh, and I forgot to mention last week: James got new braces (for the second time!)

Tomorrow Camp Bergenholtz begins so I may be posting irregularly for the next couple of weeks.

  2. it looks like you are all having a wonderful summer. You continue to astound me with your creativity and energy. Your family are so lucky to have you. As are we. I nominated you for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award. I think you've probably had it before - you don't have to do anything but I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration you provide me all the time.

  3. You always come up with the neatest projects to make moments special! Have fun camping! Is Pirate weekend a National thing? We had a pirate weekend up here at Sylvan Beach too!
