This Beautiful Moment The Braces Edition, and Snapshot Summary November 7-13 {Week 10}

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments at SouleMama for all to find and see. Have a wonderful weekend!

Snapshot Summary November 7-13
Sunday: November 7th was my 49th birthday. It was a wonderful day full of family and happiness.
 We went out to lunch and shopping and then home for dinner and homemade brownies for my cake.

Monday: We had fun playing with fractions while making snacks...

Quentin charmed a snake (as well as the rest of us.)

Tuesday: Steven took James to the dentist to get him fitted for braces (see above). We made pastel resist pictures for our last day of Fra Angelico artist study.
James and Quentin added to their Silly Bands collection.

Wednesday: We learned about Marco Polo and and about how the nomadic Mongols lived. We made pictures of yurts.

We started making our Martinmas lanterns.

Thursday: We finished our Martinmas lanterns and when evening fell we went for a walk across a little bridge by the bay. Earlier Steven took the boys to the park to play with friends.

We made Buckeye candies to compliment our study of the Buckeye State, Ohio.

Friday: We completed the chromotography experiments for our ransom note in Science Mystery.

 We completed reading and writing assignments all around. I mailed postcards for Postcrossing.

Saturday: The little boys went to Lowes' Build and Grow and made a periscope. James had made one before; in fact it was the first project he had made. Quentin so wanted one then. He was glad to be able to go and make one this time.
We received a postcard from St. Petersburg, Russia through Postcrossing.
