November 27-December 3, 2015 Snapshot Summary: The week in which A Christmas Carol began

I apologize for this post being all about Quentin, but this week has been filled with Quentin's play.
Quentin was in the Thanksgiving Parade this year.
Last Friday, he was in our local Thanksgiving Parade as Tiny Tim.
Mr. Scrooge carried Tiny Tim on his shoulders through half of the parade.

There were rehearsals every single night.
Quentin singing his solo during rehearsal.

"To Mr. Scrooge."

Practicing curtain call.

It is really fun to see the cast members begin to bond with each other. It reminds me of the plays I was involved with as a teen.

Quentin made the front page of our local newspaper.

In addition to all things A Christmas Carol
we had a game night with friends,
a Japanese dinner night,
I went to a Mom's Night Out which was a dinner and shopping together with the ladies in our homeschool support group, therapy for James...
and there was also a voice lesson for Quentin this week.
(Thank you for all your prayers for his teacher's recovery.)
It is kinda interesting that his teacher gave him a song from Oliver to learn. It seems that it is Dickens month for him.

So, tonight is opening night, the first of nine performances, and things will (hopefully) calm down a little now. Perhaps we can get to advent things such as getting a Christmas tree. :)

How was your week?

  3. Wow! Nine performances. My kiddos only have 4 (the first this morning) and one tonight and two more tomorrow. I thought that was a lot. You all are going to be busy. I love the front page of the paper. That is awesome.
    Blessings, Dawn

  5. Go Quentin! We just saw a "Radiocast Christmas Carol" on Thursday, and it was quite a lot of fun.

This week has been full of lots of busyness that hadn't been my plan, but that'st the results of guests, field trips, co-op classes and more each day.
