This week was Sam's week.
He got his learner's permit!
He celebrated his 18th birthday!
We visited Eddie in the hospital. (You can find more about why Eddie is in the hospital here.)
We enjoyed a dinner, sundaes and game night with Hope.
We are preparing to go on our first camping trip of the summer this weekend. This time it is with our homeschool group.
History is our central hub right now, with all the other subjects branching out from it. This week we looked at the life of the peasant, using suggestions from Timecapsule: Medieval England. I will be posting about it next week. It is sort of a unit-study, covering all subjects, including math. We are not doing the science, however as we are continuing with our previous studies. We finished up our studies of nutrition and are now going on to the digestive system. We read about Jacob in the Bible and about William the Conqueror at teatime.
Early Middle Ages: The Normans, part 2: Using Roleplay to Explore the Impact of the Norman Conquest
In the evenings, we are reading The Wheel on the School by DeJong and A Knight in Battle by Oakeshott.
