This week the boys' history assignment was to write a narrative about what they have learned about Japan and the Feudal age, making comparisons and contrasts with Europe in the Middle Ages. We also talked about Kublai Kahn and how the Mongol/Chinese invasion was thwarted by some storms, leading to the concept of "divine wind" (kamikaze).
In their writing they had to use some or all of these terms:
shogun
samurai
bushido
daimyo
kamikaze
kabuki

  1. Sounds so interesting! I'd never heard of the concept of "divine wind" before!

  2. I always forget that's what kamikaze meant.
