Vegetative Reproduction
For science this week we looked at vegetative reproduction as a way of distinguishing some of the members of the kingdom Protista (Algae) from the members of kingdom Plantae.
Alex is learning about the layers of the earth, starting with the mantle.

 We completed some English grammar...
and reading. I will be reviewing this set soon.
Quentin worked on his Medieval math project and James began Pre-algebra with basic solving for x.
In history, James and Quentin completed notebook pages on the church in the Middle Ages, comparing Romanesque and Gothic styles. Alex answered questions about the early Greeks.
Alex completed an art project.

He has also been enjoying time on his iPad (Camp Discovery), a Christmas present. This week he worked on matching objects, irregular plurals and gender.

Steven took Katie, Sam, James and Quentin roller skating with other homeschoolers.
We sent a late Christmas package to my sister-in-law, Brenda...
which was very well received.
