Postcard-Geography Album: New Mexico, “The Granite State”
This week's postcards come from Sydni at Follow the Tumbleweed Road. Sydni homeschools her four children in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I love seeing all the lovely hands-on activities she does with her kids.

| We found and colored in the state on our US map. |
We colored in the state flag, the state flower -the Yucca plant and a coloring page of the state. We learned that one of the chief products from New Mexico is beef cattle, and that there are mountains and caverns there.
The history of New Mexico was not officially recorded until the arriving of the Conquistadors, who encountered Native American Pueblos when they explored the area in the 16th century. Since that time, the area has been under the control of Spain, Mexico, and then United States. (wikipedia)
