This Beautiful Moment {Around the Computer} and Snapshot Summary: July 23-31 Summer Fun, A Week of Watermelon

{this moment}
A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments at SouleMama.

Snapshot Summary: July 23-31 A Week of Watermelon

We began our watermelon week by making pictures of watermelon with pastels.

We made a watermelon shark, complete with Swedish fish. We froze the leftover watermelon and the next day...

we made watermelon slushies...
Watermelon Pie

and watermelon waffles.
(Don't forget that National Watermelon Day is August 3rd.)
In additon to our watermelon fun, we also made...
Chicken and Chips Butterflies...
and played Kick-the-Can Ice Cream Making.
Katie made some Oobleck for the boys to play with...

and we had a red berries and chocolate tea time.

How in the world are we going to cross that?

We could build a boat or a bridge or a...ah...ahh!
Doink
Or that.

  1. Kick the can to make ice cream! That is terrific. We made some in a bag and it seemed to take a really long time. This would be so much more fun!

  3. I love the way your son is standing on the back of the chair to see the computer over his sisters head! I also love the watermelon, that is too cute.

  5. Watermelon is another those essence of summer time joys! I love, love, love watermelon projects - and everything you did this week. Now, that top photo around the computer is priceless. Those day-to-day, natural sibling times are the best! (and any week that revolves around food. MMM)

  7. It looks like a great week. We love summer watermelon. The watermelon bomb looks great. I've always wanted to make one. Also, those fruit and angel cake skewers looks fantastic. They would be fun to bring to a cookout. Thanks for linking up to the party again.
