Quentin playing dress up.

Quentin  wrote some upper and lower case "G's", figured out a few of the problems in the book How High Can a Dinosaur Count? and Other Math Stories, and with his brothers, played with Cathedral and Lord of the Rings Monopoly, hide and seek and on the trampoline...
James sorted spelling words, read some, and solved some math word problems, built things with Legos, and played games with his brothers...
Alex started a new unit in his Language Arts program, Personal Description Stories. He was able to complete a Venn diagram, without help, for the first time. We began work on math word problems...
Sam worked on his timeline, adding some from Ancient Egypt, looked at very large numbers like octillions and googols,
discussed ancient and Egyptian art and the Earth
and played with his brothers...
and Katie helped Quentin learn H-is-for-Hand or Handprint.
We started out the morning making fossil mold models out of Plaster of Paris -trace fossil models and mold and cast fossil models. We left them to harden while we went on to other things.  They colored in maps and learned about what a "delta"is. They made up names for their mummies and converted the names to hieroglyphs. When we were done this, the fossils were hard. The boys went to the park with Steven to play with friends. Back home they built things with Legos, played with Mighty Mind puzzles, and Quentin made candy hat treats for everyone.
Making Fossil Footprints in Sandstone
Quentin made H-is-for House, Horse and Haystacks drawings.
